Our purpose is to secure timely and sustainable access to new treatments by building strong partnerships with payers, policymakers, and healthcare providers, and by demonstrating the value of our therapies in ways that matter to patients and society._ POSITION OVERVIEW The National Pricing and HEOR Lead holds a pivotal strategic position at the intersection of market access, pricing strategy, and value demonstration in India's rapidly evolving healthcare landscape. As pharmaceutical pricing and reimbursement mechanisms in India undergo transformation with increasing focus on value assessment, this role drives sophisticated approaches to demonstrate product value while navigating complex pricing regulations and stakeholder expectations. This position is responsible for orchestrating Sanofi's pricing strategy and health economic evidence generation across the Indian market, balancing global frameworks with local market dynamics. The position serves as the critical bridge between global pricing strategies and local market needs, translating global value propositions into locally relevant economic arguments while influencing policy development through evidence-based advocacy. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Strategic Pricing Leadership • Lead national to region pricing strategy development aligned with global frameworks and local market dynamics, balancing optimal price points with market access objectives • Develop innovative pricing models for new product launches, including value-based pricing approaches, patient access programs, and differential pricing strategies • Lead price defense strategies and manage relationships with pricing authorities to protect established prices and secure favorable interpretations • Orchestrate cross-functional alignment on pricing decisions across commercial, finance, and market access teams to ensure cohesive approach Health Economics & Outcomes Research Excellence • Develop and execute comprehensive HEOR strategy aligned with market access needs and product lifecycle stages • Lead development of sophisticated health economic models (cost-effectiveness, budget impact, cost-utility) tailored to Indian healthcare system parameters • Drive Health Technology Assessment (HTA) submissions and value dossier development for key products, anticipating evolving HTA requirements in India • Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and research organizations for evidence generation and validation • Design and implement real-world evidence (RWE) studies to demonstrate product value in Indian clinical practice settings Evidence Generation & Research Leadership • Design and oversee national observational studies and patient registries to capture India-specific outcomes data • Lead partnerships with medical affairs for real-world data collection and analysis aligned with payer evidence requirements • Develop evidence generation plans that address specific gaps in economic and outcomes data for key products • Establish research collaborations with premier academic institutions and thought leaders in health economics • Drive publication strategy for health economic and outcomes research in high-impact journals and conferences Strategic Stakeholder Management • Lead engagement with NPPA, Ministry of Health, and NITI Aayog on pricing and value discussions, building trusted advisor relationships • Build strategic relationships with key government stakeholders and policy makers influencing pharmaceutical pricing and HTA development • Drive industry association initiatives related to pricing and health economics, shaping collective advocacy positions • Represent Sanofi in national forums and shape industry positions on pricing policies and value assessment frameworks • Develop and maintain relationships with health economics experts and academic leaders to enhance external credibility REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • Advanced degree (Master's/PhD) in Health Economics, Pharmacoeconomics, Economics, or related field • Professional certifications in health economics/outcomes research (preferred) • Strong foundation in statistical analysis and health economic modeling • Minimum 8 years in pricing, health economics, or market access roles • Proven track record in pricing negotiations with regulatory authorities • Extensive experience in health economic modeling and HTA submissions • Strong background in research methodology and evidence generation PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Master degree and above in Health Economics or related field • Experience with multiple therapeutic areas • Deep understanding of HTA requirements • Leadership experience in multinational pharmaceutical companies CORE COMPETENCIES & SKILLS Technical Excellence: • Advanced health economic modeling expertise • Sophisticated statistical analysis capabilities • Deep understanding of pricing regulations • Expertise in research methodology and study design • Proficiency in health economic modeling software **Pursue** **_progress_** **, discover** **_extraordinary_** Better is out there.
