Pricing Assistant

PURPOSE 

Supports the pricing team and sales operations by ensuring that product pricing is accurate, competitive, and aligned with current market conditions. This role helps maintain profitability, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Accurately enter quotes into the company’s ERP systems and respond promptly to pricing requests, and other customer-related inquiries or follow-ups. Regularly review bids to verify pricing accuracy, consistency, and market competitiveness. Support business strategies Sales and Market Managers to help drive profitability and achieve overall productivity goals. Collaborate with Inside Sales teams to ensure invoice accuracy and facilitate the prompt resolution of pricing discrepancies. Maintain effective communication across departments and organizational levels to address market challenges, share insights, and propose strategic solutions. Support customer plan input and maintenance across multiple business lines and ERP systems, ensuring data is well-organized and up to date. Review and approve margin exceptions for customer orders that fall below established thresholds, ensuring proper system overrides are applied when necessary. Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to overall team efficiency and market success.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. Customer service and sales support or construction and building materials supply experience preferred.

 

COMPETENCIES

Excellent oral and written communication skills Organized and able to multi-task Microsoft Office Proficient Excel formula familiarity preferred. SAP's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system familiarity is preferred
