POSITION SUMMARY

The Pricing Analyst role will process and provide modal pricing and analytical responses as they relate to business opportunities. They will work in conjunction with the network of offices, corporate shared services, and/or customers to coordinate the best competitive solution to meet the needs of the customers. This position requires the individual to act as a pricing owner for each opportunity.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:

· Execute Pricing RFQ (tender) process for large, global accounts across multiple modes and geographies. This role will bridge the commercial /customer information on an opportunity to the pricing and product expertise necessary to win, retain, and grow revenues and volumes.

· Apply strong knowledge of industry trends and market drivers related to modes, products, services, pricing, and sectors that may impact strategic planning or execution.

· Drive profitability and new business growth through working closely with Leadership, Sales, Account Management, and Operations departments. The primary responsibility is to provide quick pricing and rate support that is strategic for the service line, optimal for the customer, and drives revenue and profitability growth through new customer wins.

· Manage, complete, and respond to daily pricing requests in accordance with assigned due dates or service level agreements for new and existing customers in a specific mode, product, or trade lane

· Work closely with leadership to identify and capitalize on strengths/overcome weaknesses in terms of pricing and service compared to our competition

· Work primarily on strategic quote requests and RFQs for contractual business

· Work to implement and support quote initiatives and processes for small through large size opportunities

· Assess data from a variety of sources and use it to derive insights while generating pricing strategies.

· Data management of quote information to ensure data quality within the pricing ecosystem.

· Learn and understand the various pricing tools available to the team

· Stay up to date on current market conditions and pricing strategies and develop an understanding of what factors influence pricing strategy (rate and cost)

· Apply industry knowledge and critical thinking to adapt processes/create solutions in response to challenges both

· Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

· High school diploma or GED

· Minimum 2 years previous experience in operations, analytics, and/or truckload pricing

· Site Specific: Fluent in Spanish and English (written and verbal)

· Strong problem solving, critical thinking, and conflict resolution skills

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs

· Use Excel tools and functions to clean and prepare data for analysis

Preferred:

· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

· Commercial experience within C.H. Robinson and/or external logistical experience

· Ability to work cross-functionally and effectively influence and partner

· Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

· Demonstrated prioritization, time management, and attention to detail and accuracy skills

· Demonstrated strong decision-making skills, problem solving and conflict resolution skills, and ability to prioritize tasks between daily responsibilities
