Responsible for managing and setting retail and professional pricing for all assigned products. Analyze, implement and track pricing strategies to improve competitive position while maximizing sales and profit to achieve company goals. Assist the field and other departments in all pricing related inquiries.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Manage competitive pricing strategy and track the performance of all assigned product lines.
Evaluate cost updates and implement pricing strategies that align with company sales and profit goals.
Perform statistical product analysis based on sales history, market area, and competitive position.
Identify, track and communicate statistically significant pricing insights to Senior Management.
Present pricing strategies that directly impact company profitability to Executive and Senior Management.
Monitor reports and competitive market and make necessary adjustments to achieve company goals.
Responsible for improving gross profit, sales and units while maintaining gross margin rate.
Communicate margin opportunities with Senior Management and Category Managers to coordinate efforts to mitigate margin compression.
Prioritize various projects with different levels of importance, size and scope
Coordinate with the promotional pricing team to suggest items and pricing to be placed on various marketing materials
Respond to competitive pressures in the market to keep all stores competitively priced
Maintain all pricing fields for assigned lines and note changes on all applicable logs.
Collect and verify pricing information from various sources
Work with the professional pricing team and sales department to develop and implement an everyday low professional customer price to ensure a competitive and profitable program in all market areas.
SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES
Required:High School diploma or equivalent.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Strong mathematics and organization skills.
Ability to handle multiple projects.
Desired:Knowledge of aftermarket and competitors.
General automotive parts knowledge and aftermarket experience preferred.
