Prevention Specialist - Substance Abuse
The Public Health Prevention Specialist oversees the planning and implementation of Public Health Prevention programs. Primary responsibilities include oversight of assigned program policy and programmatic, administrative, and evaluation components. The Public Health Prevention Specialist may be responsible for working with other programs in the Department of Public Health Department of Health Services (DHS), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other public agencies and community organizations. Minimum Requirements: + Licensed as RN or LPN/LVN in state practicing + Bachelor’s degree in public health or related field required if not licensed RN/LPN/LVN + Advanced Public Health Nursing Certification (PHNA-BC) preferred + Master’s Degree from a graduate school with specialization in public health or a related field preferred + Two (2) years of public health or related field experience required + One (1) year of highly responsible and complex administrative staff experience preferred + Current CPR if applicable + TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable + Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) + Must meet all federal, state and local requirements + Must be at least 18 years of age Benefits At Amergis, we firmly believe that our employees are the heartbeat of our organization and we are happy to offer the following benefits: + Competitive pay & weekly paychecks + Health, dental, vision, and life insurance + 401(k) savings plan + Awards and recognition programs *Benefit eligibility is dependent on employment status.
