**What You'll Do**
+ Lead teams through efficient line setups, product changeovers, and startup processes — identifying critical controls and potential issues to keep everything on track.
+ Prepare and distribute production run sheets to operators and update systems (including case total boards) to clearly communicate goals and handoffs to the next shift.
+ Operate and set up multiple packaging machines while monitoring performance, checking weights, product appearance, metal detectors, codes, dates, and pricing.
+ Perform basic troubleshooting, make minor adjustments, clear jams, and keep lines running consistently with minimal interruptions.
+ Maintain raw material inventory levels, report discrepancies, and collaborate with Quality Assurance on holds or changeovers.
+ Execute and assist with **preventative maintenance (PM)** tasks, submit or support maintenance work orders, and help ensure equipment reliability.
+ Champion **safety, GMP, PPE, and quality standards** — lead by example, validate team compliance, and contribute to a clean, organized workspace (including clearing aisles, removing trash, and supporting sanitation like equipment washes).
+ Track and report on daily KPIs, read/interpret machine data, and participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives.
+ Support training of new team members and perform other duties as needed to keep operations strong.
**What We're Looking For**
**Required:**
+ 1+ years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience (preventative maintenance, troubleshooting in a manufacturing or packaging setting preferred).
+ Solid mechanical and electrical skills for equipment setup, adjustments, and basic repairs.
+ Ability to read and understand machine data and production systems.
**Preferred/Valued:**
+ Experience with packaging machinery (e.g., fillers, cappers, labelers, metal detectors).
+ Strong troubleshooting mindset and attention to detail.
+ Comfortable leading small teams and communicating effectively across shifts.
+ Commitment to safety protocols and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
**Work Environment & Schedule**
+ **2-2-3 schedule** (2 days on, 2 off, 3 on) 12-hour shifts (7 PM–7 AM) — predictable and balanced for long-term stability.
+ Fast-paced production floor with packaging machinery; requires adherence to strict safety, quality, and GMP standards.
+ Physical role involving standing, lifting, and working in a dynamic manufacturing setting.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of Charlotte, NC 28217.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $25.35 - $25.35/hr.
