This role will work closely with the Attorneys in our Workers Compensation Department on pre litigation to support our clients. This is an entry level position with much opportunity for learning and growth within the firm. Successful candidates will be responsible for areas including but not limited to the following.
Responsibilities
Daily interaction with existing and potential clients, via telephone and in person Order medical records and bills from providers and communicate with clients and providers during the course of treatment Submit and track invoices for medical records requests Obtain documents necessary to support injury Interact with insurance carriers and healthcare providers to secure records and account balances Perform general office duties such as typing, operating office machines, and sorting mail Performs other related duties as assigned to meet the needs of the business Assist with other tasks as requested by the attorney or case staffRequirements
Associate degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience (preferred) 1 year of experience in the legal field is a plus Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing of files and records, and other office procedures Familiarity with ordering medical records and coordinating with providers is a plus Must possess the ability to multi-task, prioritize, handle a fast-paced environment, and manage workload with a positive attitude and minimal supervision Great written and communication skills Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong writing and communication skills along with attention to detail Extensive computer and database expertise, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and type no less than 35 wpmThis position is a full time in office opportunity
