Operate CNC Press Brakes and support the production team by assembling parts, operating machinery, bending, and kitting metal products.
ResponsibilitiesOperate the CNC press brake and other machinery used in the sheet metal department or assist other machine operators.Select and set up tooling based on material type and thickness, load programs, and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipment.Apply knowledge about bend deductions and corrections.Operate the Spot-Welding machine.Load and unload the Laser operators.Assemble items as instructed by shift leader or floor supervisor.Prepare product for shipment.Lift raw materials, final products, and items prepped for shipment, manually or using overhead crane and forklift.Essential Skills2+ years of experience with CNC press brake or similar bending machines.High School Diploma or GED.Solid experience working with sheet metal.Knowledge of tooling and tool maintenance.Proven measurement and mathematical fraction/decimal conversion skills.Familiarity with protractors, angle measurement devices, calipers, and micrometers.Ability to distinguish material types including Steel, A36, Grade50, Stainless Steel, and other types of metals.Ability to read schematics.Able to lift 50 lbs.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with press brake operations.
