**Job Title: Press Assistant**
**Job Description**
This position is responsible for assisting the Press Operator in preparing and running the press machine for prints. The role is based in a manufacturing facility that specializes in producing food packaging.
**Responsibilities**
+ Assist in preparing press and all job components for print jobs.
+ Conduct hourly checks of ink viscosity to ensure quality.
+ Make necessary changes to inks during printing.
+ Remove finished film from the machine and load it onto a pallet for pick-up.
+ Assist with other duties as assigned by the operator and supervisor.
**Essential Skills**
+ 6+ months of production experience.
+ Comfortable with ink and solvent smells.
+ Experience with press machines is highly preferred.
+ Ability to read a tape measure.
+ Ability to lift 40 lbs.
+ Ability to read and write (comprehend) English.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Mechanically inclined with mechanical aptitude.
+ General labor experience.
+ Computer skills.
+ Experience using hand tools.
+ Experience with machine operation.

**Work Environment**
The role is based in a manufacturing facility with a distinct smell of inks and solvents. The environment is clean, and employees are required to wear hair nets and ear plugs. The position involves working Sunday through Thursday from 11pm to 7am, with rotating night shifts from 7pm to 7am.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lenexa, Kansas.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $21.45 - $22.45/hr.
