What this opportunity involves:
JLL is seeking an experienced Precinct Facilities Manager to oversee the comprehensive operations of shared services in the Melbourne Quarter Precinct. This is an exceptional opportunity to manage day-to-day activities, coordinate various services, and deliver events and activations whilst upholding the precinct's premium standards and fostering a vibrant community atmosphere.
Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will be responsible for ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures throughout the entire development whilst managing relationships with key stakeholders including the Owners Corporation, Management Committee, and Asset Managers
An overview of the role:
Precinct Management & Operations
· Maintain, operate and administrate the Melbourne Quarter Commercial Precinct shared services
· Manage contracts and agreements as agent for the Management Committee within limits of authority
· Coordinate effective and efficient management of all property services and works
· Implement and maintain Planned Preventative Maintenance, TSR, and Work Order Systems
Financial Management
· Manage budgets and provide comprehensive financial reporting for the precinct
· Collect contributions and administer Precinct Shared Services (Security, Technology, Waste Management)
· Prepare annual property operations and capital works budgets with quarterly monitoring and updates
Compliance & Risk Management
· Ensure compliance with laws, workplace safety, and environmental sustainability requirements
· Obtain certification from contractors and consultants for essential services
· Prepare annual Fire Safety Statements and relevant documentation for local authorities
· Conduct periodic reviews of work practices ensuring Occupational Health and Safety compliance
Stakeholder Management & Reporting
· Liaise with the Management Committee providing regular operational updates
· Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders including Owners Corporation and OC Manager
· Provide input into monthly operational reports and prepare tender documentation as required
Sound like you? This is what we’re looking for:
· Minimum 5 years' experience as an Operations Manager in A Grade or Premium Assets
· Strong understanding of commercial property management and precinct operations
· Demonstrated ability to prioritise work within tight operational and financial deadlines
· Excellent communication skills at all levels with strong customer service ethic
· Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
· Tertiary qualifications (Trade Certificate will be favourably considered)
· Experience in managing specialist contractors and procurement processes
· Knowledge of energy, water, and waste conservation initiatives
· Positive approach to meeting client needs whilst managing tenant expectations
· Ability to empathise with tenant needs and maintain premium service standards
· Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
