Pre-Sales Project Controller (m/f/x)

As a service provider, system integrator and product supplier, we operate in the market for electronic security, fire safety, building automation, HVAC, Total Building Solutions, building performance & sustainability and digital building.

We are looking for a Pre-Sales Project Controller to strengthen the Finance team of our Business Unit in Beersel (Huizingen). This position will bring you to forefront of sales innovation and success, navigating deals for profitable outcomes.

 

Your tasks:

Be the financial partner of our Sales & Bid Team during the whole offer process: Review and validate cost estimates (including the risk and opportunity management), offers, and tender-related documentation. Analyze and negotiate contracts, focusing on commercial terms and deviations. Manage post-tender clarifications and lead contract negotiations. Facilitate contract signing and streamline order documentation and processing.  

Your skills:

Law, Ethics, and Compliance in Finance: Expertise in navigating legal and ethical frameworks in finance, ensuring all financial decisions, contracts, and agreements comply with corporate and legal standards.   Bid, Contract & Claim Management: In-depth experience in managing the entire lifecycle of bids, contracts, and claims. This includes ensuring proper documentation, reviewing terms and conditions, and negotiating favorable terms while managing risks and opportunities.   Business Acumen & Strategic Mindset: Strong understanding of business processes, with the ability to analyze financial and operational impacts of decisions. Ability to develop effective sales strategies and align financial goals with overall business objectives.   Business Models for Finance: Proficiency in developing and assessing various business models to ensure financial feasibility and align with organizational goals, with a focus on profitability and risk management.   Contract and Limits of Authority (LoA) Management: Thorough knowledge of contract management processes, including ensuring compliance with corporate guidelines, legal standards, and Limits of Authority (LoA) for decision-making.   Cost Structure & Cost Drivers: Expertise in analyzing and managing cost structures, identifying cost drivers, and implementing strategies to optimize cost efficiency and profitability within the bidding process.   Proposal Management Methods: Skilled in managing proposals from initial preparation to final submission, ensuring that all necessary financial elements are included and aligned with the company's commercial strategy.   Risk, Opportunity & Issue Management: Ability to identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks and seize opportunities within bids and contracts. Proven experience in navigating complex issues that arise during the offer process and finding solutions to maintain project timelines and profitability.   Sales and Customer Development: Strong interpersonal and communication skills for managing customer relationships, understanding their needs, and fostering long-term partnerships. Expertise in collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop tailored solutions for customers.   Language skills: Ability to write proposals, read contracts and engage with stakeholders in fluent Dutch, French and English.   Teamwork and Collaboration: A strong team player with the ability to collaborate across departments, building strong working relationships to drive financial and operational success in the sales and bidding process.
