Overview

Responsible for performing pre-bill audits to ensure billing requirements are met prior to submission of home health claims and working with the billing department and home health agencies to resolve billing issues timely.

Responsibilities Performs pre-bill audits to ensure billing requirements are met prior to claim submissionEnsures physician orders are signedEnsures Face-to-Face Encounter documentation is presentEnsures visit documentation is present for all visits to be billedCommunicates with the billing department and home health agency regarding information needed to ensure timely and accurate filing of claimsAssists the agencies with troubleshooting to resolve issues holding claimsProvides support to agencies daily to ensure timely and accurate billing of claimsMaintains knowledge of Medicare billing requirementsObserves confidentiality and safeguard all patient related informationNotifies Supervisor of problems in a timely manner and works to help provide solutionsCompletes ongoing education requirements and demonstrates ongoing competency in required areasOther duties as assigned Qualifications High school graduate or GEDMinimum of two (2) years of administrative experience in a health care environment, preferably in home health and/or hospice, preferredKnowledge of auditing concepts and principles, medical documentation, and billing requirementsSound knowledge of the framework, organization, and function of home health including eligibility requirementsProficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet Explorer) with the ability to learn industry specific software applicationsSolid organizational skills, thoroughness, and a keen attention to detail with the ability to multi-task while prioritizing effectivelyAbility to work independently and in a team environmentExcellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skillsProfessional appearance and demeanors About our Line of Business Adoration Home Health and Hospice, an affiliate of BrightSpring Health Services, provides quality and compassionate services in the comfort of home, providing support for patients, families, and caregivers in their time of need.
