What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

Valid CDL and Medical Card (No exceptions)Ability to travel throughout the US (position requires FULLTIME TRAVEL)Graduated from an accredited line school or have equivalent verifiable experienceAbility to follow verbal and written instructionsAbility to work long hours outdoors in all types of weather, and move/lift at least 50 lbs. on a consistent basisPass pre-employment and other drug screening requirements

General Lineman Responsibilities:

Install, maintain, and repair electrical distribution and transmission systemsString wire conductors and cablesOpen switches or attach grounding devices to remove electricalClimb poles or use truck-mounted buckets to access equipmentPlace insulating or fireproofing materials over conductors and jointsIdentify defective sectionalizing devices, circuit breakers, fuses, voltage regulators, transformers, switches, relays, or wiring, using wiring diagrams and electrical-testing instrumentsInspect and test power lines and auxiliary equipmentOperate machinery such as track hoes, backhoes, digger derricks, lo-drill, air drill, forklift, cranes, skid steers, line pullers, or line tensionersTake actions to avoid potential hazards or obstructionsLocate underground services, such as pipes or wires, prior to beginning workAdhere to safety practices and proceduresExcavate and drill holesErect and maintain structuresRight of Way clearing and reclamationRead and interpret plans, instructions, and specifications to determine work activitiesPerform other related duties as assigned What You'll Get
