This role helps ensure specimens and documentation are handled accurately, safely, and in compliance with company procedures and applicable regulatory guidelines.What You'll Be Doing:Assist with receipt of consignments and shipments, ensuring materials are processed according to proceduresOpen shipments and perform quality checks of patient information forms, escalating missing/incorrect information or damaged shipments to senior staffConduct secondary checks to ensure specimens are not left in kit packaging and that shipping materials are cleared appropriatelyDispose of and/or recycle kit shipping supplies correctly and maintain an organized, clean work areaPrepare and ship specimens for long-term storage, client requests, and sample disposition activitiesSupport after-hours alarms and other job-critical functions as required by the functional areaAssist with equipment upkeep, supply inventory tasks, and general workstation maintenanceWhat We Are Looking For:High School Diploma or equivalentBasic computer skills to support documentation and administrative activities related to specimen receipt, storage, and shipmentAbility to perform shipment and documentation quality checks and follow established workflow and reporting proceduresOther Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degreeThe Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Needed for This Role:Strong attention to detail when handling specimens, documentation, and packaging checksAbility to maintain effective reporting procedures, control workflow, and escalate issues appropriatelyAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clientsCommitment to safety procedures and willingness to participate in continuing education through self-study and meetingsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs, frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, close eye work requirement (computer, typing, reading small prints). Physical demands vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks. The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $24,400.00 - $50,900.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
