We are seeking a full-time Practice Manager to oversee daily operations of our Family Medicine practice located at 414 Haverhill St in Rowley, MA.
Our primary care site provides physical examinations, routine health screenings, and preventative care for patients of all ages. We diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, and promote general health, disease prevention and overall well-being. There are approximately 32 staff members (both clinical and non-clinical roles), as well as 14 providers (MDs and APPs). Our practice is open Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm, and the Practice Manager is expected to have onsite presence a majority of the operating hours.
In collaboration with the Director of Operations, Primary Care and the Medical Director, the Practice Manager will be responsible for all aspects of site operations, oversight of budgets, quality measures and will work collaboratively with administrative, clinical, and leadership teams to achieve operational and clinical care goals.
Job Summary
SummaryResponsible for small-medium single-site practice or smaller multi-site practices (3 or more locations). Provides direct supervision of the administrative and clinical support staff, and operational duties and functions. As a member of the leadership team, provides administrative cross coverage to manage staffing and/or operational issues.
Essential Functions
-Oversees the day-to-day administrative performance of secretarial and clinical support staff and manage staff schedules. Evaluates daily staffing needs and coordinates replacement of staff.
-Performs hiring, orientation and evaluation of staff. Administers corrective action if appropriate.
-Assists in the career development of practice employees through on-going coaching, counseling, and training. Ensures all mandatory training is completed by staff and HIPAA policies and procedures are followed by staff. Evaluates, develops and implements administrative systems and procedures designed to maximize practice operations. Regularly evaluates and analyzes practice performance metrics. Collaborates with practice leaders on the preparation of the practice's annual budgets.
-Oversees the department’s payroll including the resolution of payroll issues. Monitors patient billing activity to ensure compliance with revenue procedures. All other duties assigned.
