Job Title: Public Relations Manager Job Description We are seeking a results-driven Public Relations specialist. This role is central to our communications strategy and will focus on demonstrating to press and influencers how our product aids customers in swiftly finding their preferred content through our exceptional search functionality, extensive content selection, and "virtual assistant" integration. You will work directly with product teams to unearth compelling stories worth telling and determine the most effective channels to convey them, even if that involves experimenting with new approaches. The ideal candidate can transform product features into customer benefits that resonate, has a proven record of securing coverage that drives results, and is eager to work with a team that is revolutionizing entertainment. Responsibilities + Lead PR strategy for feature launches. + Create narratives about the value of new features through earned, owned, paid, and social channels. + Collaborate with product marketing and engineering teams to identify and highlight the most newsworthy aspects of our features. + Design and implement creative, always-on PR campaigns that enhance awareness of products among target customers. + Develop a cadence of strategic media opportunities to maintain brand presence in relevant conversations. Essential Skills + Media relations with a history of working with reporters and editors. + Proficient in writing press releases, blogs, or social media posts. + Ability to own a PR announcement, including strategizing the timing and messaging. Additional Skills & Qualifications + 5 years of recent professional communications or public relations experience. + Bachelor's degree. + Strong media relations skills with a track record of securing positive coverage. + Experience in the consumer electronics or streaming media industry. + Ability to translate complex technical features into compelling customer stories. + Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Work Environment This position is based onsite in Seattle. The working hours are from 9 AM to 5 PM, with some flexibility allowing for an 8 AM to 4 PM schedule. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Seattle, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $52.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
