This role is responsible for developing and executing strategic PR campaigns to drive coverage for participating hotels in top-tier Spanish publications and influencer channels. Reporting to the Director of Communications, Spain, the position collaborates closely with the Marriott EMEA Communications team to ensure alignment with consumer, corporate, and brand strategies while positioning Marriott International and COE hotels within leading media outlets. **Scope** + Location: Madrid preferred; open to other locations in Spain + Flexible work arrangement: Full remote flexibility; initial hybrid period (2 days/week in Madrid) for onboarding + Languages: Fluent in Spanish and English + Travel: National and occasional international travel required **Key Responsibilities** **Hotel PR** + Support development of annual PR strategies for participating hotels + Create press-worthy angles aligned with hotel business plans and brand positioning **Press Office** + Act as first point of contact for Spanish media inquiries + Maintain GDPR-compliant media database **Media & Influencer Relations** + Build strong relationships with top-tier Spanish media and influencers + Proactively pitch hotel news and secure coverage **Media Visits & Shoots** + Coordinate media/influencer visits and photo/film shoots + Ensure brand portrayal meets high standards **Crisis & Issues Communications** + Support Director of Communications and EMEA team in crisis response + Draft reactive statements and monitor coverage **PR Agency Management** + Manage Spain PR agency and ensure delivery of high-quality results + Review press materials and pitches **Press & Briefing Materials** + Oversee development of press releases, factsheets, and briefing documents + Ensure Marriott Bonvoy messaging is integrated **Measurement & Reporting** + Track PR campaign performance against KPIs + Prepare recap reports for hotels **Internal & Social Media** + Share stories for internal channels + Manage Spain PR Instagram channel **EMEA Media Centre** + Upload press releases and images promptly **Skills & Competencies** **Experience** + 4–6 years in PR, marketing communications, or corporate communications (hospitality/travel preferred) + Strong media and influencer relationships in Spain + Experience managing agencies, budgets, and events + Ability to interact with senior leaders **Skills & Competencies** + Fluent in Spanish and English + Strong media contacts and excellent writing skills + Strategic thinker with creative mindset + Data-driven approach and strong organizational skills + Ability to travel and attend evening/weekend events **Why Join Marriott International?** Be part of a global brand committed to excellence, innovation, and inclusion.
