**Powertrain Propulsion Systems Technical Project Manager** **Location:** Split between Warren, MI and Auburn Hills, MI **Responsibilities:** Seeking a Propulsion Systems Sub System Technical Manager support role. The responsibilities include but are not limited to: Support for all integration activities and interface for all issues (cost, timing, program planning, launch support, program resolution, etc) **Requirements:** Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, or another related Engineering discipline from an ABET accredited university or equivalent · 5+Years experience · Design, development, and program management experience in broad powertrain functions and/or vehicle engineering in any of the following areas: engine, transmission, driveline, packaging, adaptation, controls, or calibration · Demonstrated high leadership, communication, presentation, and organizational skills · Proficient in MS Office applications · Demonstrated understanding of the Company product development processes, design validation, Key Process Indicators (KPI), and gate processes · Demonstrated team building skills · Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated, and to work with minimal direction (ability to understand and complete next steps without guidance) **Preferred Requirements:** · Master of Science degree in Applied Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, or another related Engineering discipline from an ABET accredited university or equivalent or · Master of Business Administration Degree from an ABET accredited university or equivalent · Experience and understanding of the vehicle cost process · Experience with the ER&D roll-up process · Experience with Change Notice (CN) and Common Change Document (CCD) process · Significant knowledge of the automotive industry and competitive benchmarks · Program life cycle experience · Experience as a Resident/Quality Engineer at one or more manufacturing plants **Additional Must Haves** · Demonstrated high leadership, communication, presentation, and organizational skills · Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated · Travel is required (suppliers and WTAP) · Location: Onsite CTC and WTAP Cognizant is an equal opportunity employer.
