Powertrain Calibration Emissions Engineer

In this position...

Ford Powertrain Calibration team is looking for a qualified candidate to join the Large Gas Feature section to develop powertrain applications. Ford Powertrain Calibrators work in a team environment to deliver production ready powertrain calibrations, on time, with efficiency and quality responsibilities are based in laboratory, may require travel for in-vehicle development at test facilities in Michigan, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, and Canada. Interested candidates do not require Calibration experience, but it is certainly a plus. Candidates who apply should be willing to grow, learn, and develop into a powertrain calibration engineer in a very exciting, demanding, and fast-paced environment. 

 

You'll have...

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field2+ years of experience in Powertrain Calibration1+ years’ experience with one more of the following software tools: ETAS, ATI, or MATLAB3+ years of experience with calibration and development of leading edge aftertreatment technologies for PM, NOx, HC, and CO reduction for gasoline powertrains to meet global emissions and OBD requirements

This position is a salary grade 6-8.

Calibration and development of leading-edge Powertrains and aftertreatment technologies for PM, NOx, HC, and CO reduction for gasoline powertrains to meet global emissions and OBD requirementsEvaluate and assess vehicle attributes (performance, fuel economy, emissions, diagnostics, NVH) on vehicles and in engine dynamometer test cellsModify powertrain control calibrations to improve fuel economy, performance, emissions, and diagnosticsDesign and conduct tests to validate engine and vehicle fuel economy, performance, emissions, and diagnosticsConduct vehicle testing and development at remote locations in Arizona, Colorado, and Northern Canada
