MUST BE ABLE TO WORK 12 HOUR ROTATING NIGHT SHIFTS, 7:00 P.M TO 7:00 A.M. (2 on 2 off, 3 on 2 off, 2 on 3 off)
Pay rate begins at $21.26 and tops out at $25.70 at 9 months. (plus 1.00 shift differential)

Job Summary
Works under general supervision to remove shell from castings using shot blast to remove gatings and excess metal from castings using various equipment. Operates the Brown and Sharp for specific decap operations. Operates heat stamp machine. Operates automated radial grinding equipment. Continuously works to meet quality customer requirements with minimum inventory. Works as a team member in a cell environment to optimize product flow.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Using Computers (entering information, etc.) Must be able to read and interpret Product Criteria (PC) and Activity Instructions (AI). Must be able to function as a member of a team and be able to work under general supervision. Must be able to maintain expected quality levels. Comply with all site required policies and procedures including but not limited to: EHS, Quality, Code of Conduct and the Wichita Falls Employee Handbook.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Operates shot blast to remove shell. Removes gating to within specified tolerance of witness line by operating one or more grinding fixtures and/or hand grinding. Gauges castings periodically after grinding to ensure set-up remains accurate; readjusts as required. Replaces worn abrasive belts on power pac machines. Sets up and operates Cincinnati and or Brown and Sharp grinders for specific decap and gate removal operations Changes and dresses wheels on Cincinnati and or Brown and Sharp grinders as required Inspects casting with standard gauges or devices. Verify routings with castings to assure that all previous operations have been completed. Keeps heats separated. Selects and sets up fixtures for required task. Informs supervisor of required maintenance. Completes preventative maintenance as required Completes tasks per the PMS, or Activity Instructions, Product Criteria, or Temporary Instructions. Responsible for product quality while performing semi-routine task. Maintains a clean and orderly work area with a continuous goal to improve the 5S program. Must be able to move to various equipment without direction to optimize flow. Must strive to decrease cycle and total departmental lead times. Must strive to eliminate scrap and rework. Perform other duties as required. Complies with all EHS rules related to the work environment. Works overtime as needed.
