NDE Technician - Travel To Client Sites

What are we looking for?
The NDE technician will be responsible for performing nondestructive examinations on new construction. The techniques will include phased array ultrasonics (PAUT), ultrasonic thickness measurements (UTT), magnetic particle (MT), dye penetrant (PT) and others as appropriate.
The Ideal candidate will live in south/central TX. Cities include Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Brownsville, McAllen, Waco, etc.
Shift/Schedule: 10-hour shifts hours will vary, plus occasional weekend work and /or travel hours. The project work will take place in Austin, TX. Reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed.

Have a mindset of safety firstPerform NDE per provided procedures in the field environment independently or with a teamProvide NDE results with good organizational and report writing skillsMaintain open lines of communications with coworkers, clients, and subcontractorsFollow new NDE technologies and provide suggestions to managersWork with other NDE staff to maintain the NDE equipment organized, clean, and calibratedAssist in creating and improving NDE procedures and report templatesTravel domestically and internationally to the job sites, conferences, and other Intertek offices, as neededThis position outline is a general guideline and does not represent all encompassing details. Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:
Ability to qualify for Level II UT certification (UT shearwave and UT phased-array)2+ years’ of work-related experienceValid Driver’s License and reliable driving record is requiredProficient with MS Office products, including Word and ExcelThis is a remote position; however, applicants must reside in and be able to legally work in the United States.Preferred Requirements & Qualifications:
AS or BS in engineering or related technical fieldExperience with NDE of power plant equipment and failure mechanismsAbility to read procedures, equipment drawings, isometrics, and P&ID’sLevel II MT/PT/VT Has successfully completed the EPRI fossil NDE proficiency Assessment for Boiler Tubes, Girth Welds, and Seam Welds.Intertek: Total Quality.
