ResponsibilitiesDesign control loops for bidirectional AC/DC and DC/DC power conversion hardware.Develop complex products as a power electronics controls engineer for North American grid-tied applications.Create digital control systems for grid-tied inverters, rectifiers, and DC/DC converters using microcontroller platforms.Apply modeling and simulation-aided analysis for control loop design using tools such as PLECS.Ensure compliance with V2G and G2V related regulations in North America concerning grid interactive power converters.
Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.10+ years of experience in power electronics controls engineering or a related role.Bidirectional inverter design experience for North American grid-tied applications.Strong understanding of power converter theory and design.Experience developing digital control systems for grid-tied inverters, rectifiers, and DC/DC converters using microcontroller platforms.Working knowledge of V2G and G2V regulations in North America.Proficiency in using PLECS for modeling and simulation-aided analysis.
Additional Skills & QualificationsFirmware development experience.Advanced skills in power design.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $85.00/hr.
