The Opportunity

We’re working with a long-standing, global electronics client to find a Power Electronics Applications Engineer who’s ready to have real impact—not just tweak designs in the background.

This is ideal for someone who thrives in a technically hands-on, customer-facing role. You’ll design magnetic components, work closely with semiconductor partners, and have a seat at the table for product direction and customer solutions.

If you’ve ever felt like a small fish in a big pond, this is your chance to flip that narrative.

Why This Company?

Privately held, debt-free, and profit-driven
They’re financially strong and invest in growth—averaging one acquisition per year.

Global scale with a small-company feel
6,500+ employees and 15 manufacturing sites worldwide, but leadership remains accessible and decision-making is fast.

Influence and visibility
Engineers here aren’t buried in layers. Your ideas get traction, and your work drives real change.

Strong work-life balance and benefits
Generous PTO, company-wide shutdown between Christmas and New Year’s, and full benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k, and bonus potential.

Tenure that speaks volumes
Engineers stay because the culture supports both professional growth and personal well-being.

What You’ll Be Doing

Designing custom magnetics: inductors, transformers, EMI chokes

Developing circuits and PCBs to support prototype testing

Collaborating with major semiconductor companies to create reference designs

Working with global engineering teams and customer contacts throughout the product lifecycle

Presenting technical findings and solutions to customers and internal stakeholders

Supporting product development efforts from early design to release

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s (or higher) in Electrical Engineering or a related field

4+ years of experience in power electronics (industry or academia)

Experience with PCB design tools (Altium or similar)

Familiarity with electronic simulation tools (ANSYS Maxwell, MATLAB a plus)

Ability to communicate and present technical ideas clearly and effectively

Nice-to-Haves

Hands-on skills with soldering or lab test equipment

Experience working with semiconductor application boards

Previous exposure to global engineering or manufacturing environments

If you're looking for a role where you can stretch your skills, work closely with cutting-edge companies, and be more than just a number—this is that kind of opportunity.
