Transform the everyday with us We are looking for Powder Coating Technicians to join our team at Roebuck, SC. The ideal candidate will supervise powder coating operations, ensure quality standards, and maintain process efficiency while adhering to safety and compliance requirements. Shifts Available: 3rd shift hours are 10:00 pm – 6:00 am Hourly Rate: The hourly pay range for this position is $26.75 - $27.90. Shift differential of $1.25 per hour for 2nd and 3rd shifts. You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Minimum 1-year hands-on experience in powder coating processes Comprehensive knowledge of powder coating theory and system operations Understanding of mechanical and electrical components in powder coating systems Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities Forklift certification (or ability to obtain) 24hr HazMat certification (or ability to obtain) and Emergency Response Team. Applicants must be legally authorized for employment within the United States without the need for current or future employer - sponsored work authorization. Basic Job Responsibilities: Direct paint and epoxy production personnel: Process tasks/inspections/changes performed by the painting and epoxy technicians. Proper rack and hook selection/orientation used in the paint and epoxy processes. Oversee and direct maintenance tasks. Demonstration of fundamental application techniques of powder coating processes; including cold spray for paint on various metallic substrates and hot spray for epoxy on aluminum and copper busbar. Knowledge of the powder coating theory, system operation as well as the mechanical and electrical components of the powder coating systems. Knowledge of process chemicals; dangers associated with handling and processing: Alkaline cleaners, Iron Phosphate and Hydrochloric Acid. Complete complex chemical tests to support metal preparation processes: Titrations PH/concentration analyzation Log daily process checks and analyze for trends that will create process instability Maintain records, chemical and chemical laboratory supplies per OSHA and ISO requirements. Quality control testing of powder coated parts: Salt spray testing Cure Adhesion Mandrel bend Impact Appearance Maintenance of records per UL and ISO requirements. Quickly diagnose and correct process issues by using systematic troubleshooting techniques: Adhesion issues Poor Cleaning Cosmetic appearance Low and High coating thickness Perform daily and periodic maintenance on the paint and epoxy systems: Chemical transportation Mechanical pump transportation; paint and epoxy prep solutions to WT Forklift transportation; chemical building to paint and epoxy Cleaning and 5S activities Rack and hook maintenance tasks Schedule and record chemical activities per ISO requirements.
