**Job Title: Powder Coater**
Job Description
Set-up and run powder coat line, coating a variety of parts to cosmetic standards and Q-chips. Creates quality color chips for production controls based on manufacturer, color, and texture of the surface. Manages powder inventory and supervises powder coat helpers to a certain degree. Advises on proper surface finishes as needed to achieve powder coat cosmetics. Performs other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
+ Follow department standard operating procedures.
+ Direct loading of carriers of parts to and from the phosphate line for cleaning.
+ Rack/un-rack and mask/un-mask parts on the powder line.
+ Powder coat all parts with powder equipment.
+ Manage parts and equipment through the baking/curing cycle.
+ Finish parts as directed and inspect product to cosmetic standards at each step of the process.
+ Load/unload materials, parts, or products onto or from pallets, skids, conveyor, or trucks, either manually or using a hoist.
+ Follow established safety protocols including required usage of PPE and help maintain a safe working environment.
+ Keep work area clean and organized.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ 3 years of experience working on a powder coat line, utilizing all equipment and procedures of the powder coat cycle.
+ Basic math and measurement skills.
+ Operate grinding/finishing equipment with proper grit media.
+ Strong attention to detail.
+ Ability to correctly surface prep product to a cosmetic finish.
+ Dependability, honesty & integrity, a positive, proactive attitude.
+ Ability to use time productively, working with minimal supervision both individually and as part of a team.
+ Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
+ Ability to work overtime as required.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
