Postdoctoral Research Associate Biochemistry & Molecular Genetics

The Tang Lab at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics at University of Virginia School of Medicine is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral scholar for cellular and molecular biologist studying genome instability in cancers. Currently, the Tang lab is interested in the molecular mechanisms of chromosome segregation defects (aneuploidy), chromothripsis, transcription replication conflicts (TRCs), DNA-protein crosslinks and their contribution to genomic instability. Our goal is to understand the molecular mechanism of complex genome rearrangements which is prevalent in cancers and congenital human disorders, potentially leading to the development of novel therapeutics for related human diseases.
