Postdoctoral Fellowship in Mathematics (Prof. Mac Huang)

Professor Mac Huang (https://shanghai.nyu.edu/academics/faculty/directory/jinzi-mac-huang) of the Applied Math Lab at NYU Shanghai (AML Shanghai) is currently searching for a postdoctoral fellow specializing in experimental fluid dynamics, focusing on the laboratory study of geophysical fluid-structure interactions involving dissolution, melting, and thermal convection. In addition to carrying out cutting edge experimental research, the candidate is also expected to oversee the day-to-day operations of AML Shanghai and to supervise a diverse body of graduate and undergraduate students.
Terms of employment at NYU Shanghai are comparable to NYU New York and other U.S. institutions.
Candidates should have the following qualifications:
+ Has experience working on fluid dynamics related experiments;
+ Has good written and oral communication skills in English;
+ PhD must be awarded before 07/2026, in fluid dynamics related areas including math, physics, and engineering.
The position is for a total of two years and is based in Shanghai, China. The appointment start date for non-Chinese applicants is subject to immigration regulations.
