Postdoctoral Fellowship in Aging and Health
Dr. Bei Wu, an internationally recognized leader in aging research, is seeking two exceptional Postdoctoral Fellows to work with her research team across NYU Shanghai and NYU New York. These positions offer an exciting opportunity to engage in interdisciplinary, high-impact research focused on aging and health in both Chinese and international contexts. As members of Dr. Bei Wu’s international research team, which bridges NYU Shanghai and NYU New York, Postdoctoral Fellows will benefit by: + Contributing to cutting-edge research on aging, caregiving, dementia, oral health, and health disparities + Accessing extensive resources and professional development opportunities across NYU’s global campuses + Working in a vibrant, diverse academic environment in Shanghai The Postdoctoral Fellows will work under the mentorship of Dr. Bei Wu. Their responsibilities include: + Collaborate on projects based at NYU Shanghai and NYU New York + Contribute to cross-cultural and comparative aging research + Lead and co-author peer-reviewed publications + Support grant development and strengthen grant writing skills + Participate in mentorship and career development activities Terms of employment at NYU Shanghai are comparable to NYU New York and other U.S. institutions. Applicants from a wide range of disciplines are welcome, including but not limited to: + Sociology + Gerontology + Public Health + Medicine + Nursing + Social Work + Psychology + Health Policy + Other related fields in aging and health Ideal candidates will hold a doctoral degree (or be near completion), and demonstrate: + Strong methodological and writing skills (quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods) + A solid publication record + A deep interest in aging research and interdisciplinary collaboration The position has a flexible start date, with a preference for candidates who can begin in Fall 2025 . The appointment start date is subject to immigration regulations for the country of employment.
