Goals/Outcomes of the Research Project: Discover new mechanism of liver regeneration and diseases. Publish results in top-tier peer review scientific journals. SPOC-UAW Local 4100 at Icahn School of Medicine (Post Docs), 033 - Liver MSH - ISM, Icahn School of Medicine **Responsibilities** Details of Research Project: Dr. Hao Xiang will perform the following research projects under the mentoring of Dr. Tianliang Sun: 1. Mechanism of boosting of liver regeneration to reverse MASH. Combining multiomics data profiling, mouse genetics, histology, intravital imaging and organoid systems, we will systemically analyze the mechanism of inflammation resolution, lipid metabolism and fibrosis regression events upon the deletion of ZNRF3 and RNF43. 2. The plasticity of biliary epithelial cells during ductular reaction. We aim to dissect the cell heterogeneity of biliary epithelial cells during liver injuries and the key signaling pathways that involved in regeneration and pathogenesis via various mouse genetic and injury models and organoid cultures. 3. Principles of liver zonation regulation and how zonation play a role in liver diseases Technical Duties: (include any protocols) Mouse handling and monitoring, organoid culture, multiomicas data analysis, histology and tissue processing, IF staining, image J based cell and tissue quantification, microscope imaging in fixed tissue and in live mouse, buffer preparation and lab maintenance, genotyping PCR, data recording and analysis, presentation in meetings and work in progress. **About Us** **Strength through Unity and Inclusion** The Mount Sinai Health System is committed to fostering an environment where everyone can contribute to excellence. The salary range for the role is $72500 - $80000 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
