Postdoctoral Fellow - Molecular & Cellular Oncology
The focus of the program is to explore novel strategies for immunoprevention of estrogen receptor-negative (ER-) breast cancer. Based on our previous and recent studies, we hypothesize that vitamin E administration, via reinforcing dendritic activation and antigen presentation, can enhance immunoprevention of ER- breast cancer by cancer vaccines. The postdoc will test novel strategies, including vitamin E administration via local and/or systemic delivery, combined with cancer vaccines to improve immunoprevention in ER- breast cancer mouse models. All duties and responsibilities are carried out in compliance with institutional policies, ethical research standards, and applicable federal and state regulations. *LEARNING OBJECTIVES* -Use multidiscipline approaches to decipher molecular and cellular mechanisms that are critical for inducing potent immune responses against ER- breast cancer cells. Successful completion of this research will allow translation of the key findings to clinical trials and develop safe and effective ways to prevent ER- breast cancer in women. -Record scientific findings in a written format for publication in the high-impact scientific peer-reviewed journal and verbally present results to research personnel in our department seminar. *ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS* PhD in one of the natural sciences or related field or Medical degree. *POSITION INFORMATION* MD Anderson offers full-time postdoc positions with a [salary ranging from $64,000 to $76,000](https://trainees.mdanderson.org/apply/mdaPostdoctoralFellowStipendFY24.pdf). depending on the number of years of postgraduate experience.
