Postdoctoral Fellow - Leukemia - Research (Koichi Takahashi Lab)
A Postdoctoral position is available in the Department of Leukemia, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX, United States. This position reports to Kiochi Takahashi, MD (primary mentor). The candidate will engage in translational research related to hematologic malignancies. Specifically, the candidate will use various molecular biology and cellular biology techniques to study the specific function of genes relevant to hematologic malignancies. The candidate is expected to independently plan, design, and conduct research, analyze the data, and present the data in the meeting or in a published form. All duties and responsibilities are carried out in compliance with institutional policies, ethical research standards, and applicable federal and state regulations. *LEARNING OBJECTIVES* * Understand the functional genomics in leukemia. * Learn novel molecular biology and cellular biology techniques to investigate the function of specific genes of interest. * Learn the relationship between genetic abnormalities and disease phenotype. *ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS* Successful candidates should have an MD, a PhD, or both credentials.
