Details Title Postdoctoral Fellow School Faculty of Arts and Sciences Department/Area Stem Cell and Regenerative Biology Position Description The Lee Laboratory invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow position. The Lab uses biotechnologies to discover and design new approaches to cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. We work at this interface using a broad variety of techniques in genomics, stem cell biology, and molecular biology. Our approach is to understand human problems and design solutions in the laboratory, and then we demonstrate the effectiveness of these solutions in vivo. Ongoing projects in the laboratory include studies of cardiac regeneration, diabetes, aging and metabolism. Responsibilities: 1. Conduct research in heart regeneration with stem cells, the factors that contribute to cardiac aging and heart failure, Arrestin proteins and metabolism, and DNA adducts in aging. 2. Publish and present research findings in high-quality scientific journals and conferences. 3. Collaborate with faculty, researchers, and students on interdisciplinary research projects. 4. Contribute to the preparation of research proposals. 5. Participate in teaching and mentoring activities for undergraduate and graduate students. Basic Qualifications 1. A Ph.D. in a relevant field 2. Demonstrated record of research achievement. 3. Strong written and oral communication skills. 4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
