Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/. **Position Overview:** We are currently seeking a Postdoctoral fellow with experience in advanced respiratory in vitro co-culture systems to join our Immunology Discovery team within the Immunology Therapeutic Area to be based in Spring House, PA or San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge and hands-on experience in primary cell cultures and co-culture systems relevant to the pathogenesis of respiratory diseases. Recent lab-based experience in T2 and non-T2 immune cell analysis, primary lung epithelial/organoid culture, and primary fibroblast culture relevant to asthma and COPD is ideal. We are looking for someone with a strong sense of scientific curiosity and innovation, who thrives in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment. **Key Responsibilities:** + Design, perform, and interpret _in vitro_ experiments utilizing primary lung epithelial cells, primary immune cells, and primary lung fibroblasts to support biology and MOA studies. + Build complex co-culture _in vitro_ systems relevant to asthma and COPD with guidance from experts within immunology discovery. + Proven capacity to design, execute, and interpret your own experiments is essential. + Utilize scRNA-Seq and spatial transcriptomics to answer complex disease biology questions. Familiarity with computational analysis of these datasets preferred. + Document research in electronic notebooks, manuscripts for external publication, and other formats as required. + Have excellent interpersonal skills and effectively communicate scientific information to broad audiences. **Requirements:** + PhD in immunology, biology, pharmacology or a related field + Demonstrated recent experience in advanced in vitro co-culture systems relevant to human respiratory diseases. + Strong publication record. + Proficiency in enzyme immunoassays, multicolor flow-cytometry, fluorescence-activated cell sorting, qPCR, cellular immunology, primary bronchial epithelial culture, lung organoid culture, and immune cell culture. + Must be proactive, innovative, and team-oriented. + Should have a strong desire to learn, swiftly apply new techniques, and thrive in a collaborative team setting. + Ability to effectively communicate (oral and written) with key internal stakeholders and external scientific community.
