Overview
**This position will be physically located in the Marshall Islands in support of LOGCAP**
Manages all postal operations for the APO. Services are mail processing and distribution (Operations Section) and Finance Operations, to include customer service, parcel inspections, parcel bagging, and Custodian of Postal Effects (COPE). Interfaces directly with the Army customer, manages mission performance, and resolves mail service issues. Contributes directly to contract cost performance and operational efficiency.

Qualifications
+ Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
+ Must be a U.S. Citizen
+ Must be able to obtain and maintain valid Secret Clearance
+ Experience:
+ Minimum of four (4) years of experience in mail room operations, two (2) years of experience in a supervisory role.
+ Skills:
+ Must know all postal procedures and techniques used by postal personnel in operation of Army and base post offices;
+ Must be able to organize, control, coordinate, and supervise technical operations of postal unit;
+ Must be able to instigate work simplification methods;
+ Must be able to perform supervision of customs inspections conducted by custom agencies;
+ Provides advice and makes, recommendations to the commander aid staff on all matters pertain to enlisted personnel and their families;
+ Accompanies the commander on inspections and visits and at ceremonies;
+ Assists in inspection of command activities facilities aid personnel as prescribed by the commander;
+ Holds First Sergeants' or Sergeants' Major call to announce information and instructions;
+ Insures that newly assigned enlisted personnel are instructed in military courtesy, customs, of the service, and command regulations or policies;
+ Provides counsel and guidance to NCOs and other enlisted personnel of the command;
+ Inspects duties performed by subordinate NCOs;
+ Notes discrepancies and initiates appropriate corrective action; assists in reception of visitors to the command;
+ Sits as president or, member of command promotion board for NCOs, as authorized by regulations;
+ Performs other duties prescribed by, the commander.
+ Supervisory Responsibilities:
+ Manages all postal operations for the APO
+ Working Conditions:
+ Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
+ Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, duty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months).
+ Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.
+ Physical Requirements:
+ Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
+ Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.
+ Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
+ Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
