Post Trade Analyst

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Securities Lending Operations, this role is in a newly formed Post Trade team situated in the US, providing operational support for the HSBC Agency Securities Lending Trading desk. Acting as point of contact for both pre and post-settlement enquiries the Post Trade Analyst will have extensive interaction with the Securities Lending trading desks globally, including the Trading team based in the US and will be part of the wider Securities Lending Operations functions already in place the UK, Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur. The establishment of this new team in the US creates a follow the sun operational model, with the US team taking over the global loan book from London at the end of the UK business day and then handing over to Hong Kong at the end of the US day. The role holder and his Line Manager are responsible for the securities lending trade lifecycle from point of execution, using internal and proprietary front and back office systems overseeing the timely and efficient delivery of securities on behalf of our clients. The HSBC Agency Securities Lending business has access to a significant global asset pool from which it generates a valuable revenue stream for its clients. As our Post Trade Analyst you will: + Management of the daily of MSS cash collateral offering and assisting in its continued development + To ensure that the Agency Securities Lending clients have been fully covered with acceptable and appropriately priced collateral and that all securities held are within the parameters set by HSBC + Management of securities lending transactions, ensuring timely settlement and the effective management of recalls covering client sales and the mitigation of failed transactions and buy-ins + To build good working relationships with our counterparts and monitor their performance. Arrange regular reviews and use example based feedback to address any examples of poor borrower performance + To understand the current and future regulatory environment and apply those requirements to our processes + To play a key role in exception management and conducting exception analysis to identify trends and participate in enhancements in an effort to reduce exception levels + To continually re-assess the operational risks inherent in the business taking account of any changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management re-structures and the impact of new technology + To identify and fully contribute to any operational improvement initiatives in areas such as IT and Control + Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory, legal, audit, bank and group requirements For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $95,600.00 and $143,400.00 The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.At HSBC, our overall goal is to provide a competitive Total Reward Package, with an appropriate mix of fixed pay, and variable pay, as part of an employee’s overall total compensation and benefits.
