Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Working closely with all 20 physicians in the group, our Nurse practitioner will assist in managing high acuity post-op patients with the best care possible.Cardiovascular issues include but not limited to acute coronary syndrome, chest pain, heart failure, arrhythmias, valvular disease, peripheral artery disease, aortic aneurysm, and venous thromboembolism/pulmonary embolism in our outpatient setting with collaborating physician.Will assist with medication adjustments dependent on patient's clinical status.Post operative cardiac evaluation. Order diagnostic studies, tests, labs and review pertinent labs/studies (nuclear imaging testing, EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, etc.). Review telemetry readingsEducate patient on diagnosis, medications, dietary restrictions related to cardiovascular disease.Communicate with other specialties regarding patient care.Will also perform and supervise stress echoes in the office.-----------------------------
This is a 5/8's role and will comprise of 100% out-patient care.The general working hours for this position will between: 8am to 5pm. There is no operating room or in-patient duties with this role.There are no weekends with this roleCandidates interested in this position MUST possess at least 1-year minimum experience in Cardiology, Cardiac, telemetry, or ICU.

Educational Requirements:
Graduation from a Nurse Practitioner Program approved by the Board of Registered Nursing. MSN Degree RequiredLicense/Certification Requirements:
Current unrestricted Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner license issued by the State of California.Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Certificate or eligible to obtain.Furnishing number issued by the Board of Registered Nursing (BRN).National Board Certification for Nurse PractitionerBLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red CrossExperience:
