The Post Fixture Liquidator will provide a high level of customer service and participate in basic hire calculations and negotiations, issuance of freight invoices, finalization of voyages and profit and loss accountability. In this role, you will help ensure efficient export and import of commodities from all the major and minor seaports across the world.
Key AccountabilitiesPrepare charter party, hire statements, freight invoices and commission invoicesFollow up on hire outstanding and ensure with finance team, amounts are properly accounted in the systemPrepare and raise Hire statements with accuracy and as per the relevant/agreed Charter Party clauses with a focus onthe maximization of profit and service quality with a customerWork closely with the operations desk, marine operation coordinators, credit control team and accountants on items related to Hire/freight and commercial claimsMonitor the port disbursement account for FinalizationInvestigate and drive the resolution of general hire related claimsHandle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staffQualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and equivalent experienceProficient with standard computer operations and applications like word processing, spreadsheets and data systemsOther minimum qualifications may applyPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Understanding of administrative tasks related to shipping or commodity businessPRIOR BENEFICIAL EXPERIENCES:
