The Post Doctoral Associate performs scientific research and studies under the supervision of managing staff. Moreover, the Post Doctoral Associate promotes institutional recognition through literal contributions to the scientific community.

1. Conducts research on specific areas of study as assigned.
2. Prepares research reports and technical papers for publishing.

Department Specific Functions

The candidate will be designing, building and deploying compact eye-ECMO perfusion machines that provide oxygenated normothermic pressurized perfusion of donor eyes immediately after harvesting, and up to the time of transplantation, both for Miami surgeons and other funded ARPA-H teams. Develop the engineering platforms for perfusing and transporting freshly harvested whole human eyes.
