Join us. **Job Description** AECOM Burnaby is hiring a Ports & Marines Project Manager. **Responsibilities** + Lead and manage multidisciplinary project teams in the planning, design, and delivery of ports, terminals, and marine infrastructure projects. + Oversee project scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring alignment with client requirements and organizational objectives. + Provide technical leadership in marine structural and geotechnical engineering, including container terminals, LNG and oil terminals, offshore wind facilities, and bulk material handling. + Ensure quality assurance and compliance with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations. + Coordinate with clients, contractors, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders to manage project execution. + Develop and implement innovative engineering and design solutions to address technical and operational challenges. + Prepare technical documentation including designs, calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports. + Mentor and develop junior engineers, promoting knowledge-sharing and technical excellence. + Support business development through technical input on proposals, participation in industry forums, and engagement with professional associations. **Qualifications** **Minimum Requirements** + Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Marine, or Coastal Engineering (or related discipline). + 10+ years of relevant experience in ports and marine infrastructure, including design and project management. + Professional Engineer (P.Eng) license or eligible within 12 months or PMP or MBA **Preferred Qualifications** + Master’s or Ph.D. in Geotechnical, Structural, or Marine Engineering. + Proven track record of delivering complex marine infrastructure projects from concept through detailed design and construction. + Demonstrated expertise in marine structural design, geotechnical engineering, seismic analysis, and soil-structure interaction. + Strong project management skills, including budget control, scheduling, risk management, and client interface. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to liaise effectively across disciplines and with external stakeholders. + Experience in mentoring and supervising engineering teams. + Board-Certified Port Engineer (BCPE) designation. + Experience with LNG facilities, offshore wind foundations, and seismic design of marine terminals. + Active participation in technical committees (e.g., ASCE/COPRI, PIANC, CSA). + Published technical papers or contributions to industry standards. + Business development experience, including proposal writing and client presentations. + International project experience across diverse geographies. **Additional Information** Sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
