Portfolio & Strategy RRP Manager Global Travel Retail


You will work closely with the RRP & Digital Director GTR to help shape the direction of RRP brands and projects in Global Travel Retail, aligned with HQ Brand Groups’ guidelines and focused on relevant traveller segments. 

The responsibilities include overseeing the RRP portfolio strategy for designated markets and regions, providing informed recommendations regarding portfolio management, pricing strategies, and ecosystem solutions. This position requires a comprehensive analysis of market trends, consumer behaviors, and competitive dynamics, alongside the establishment of objectives, performance monitoring, and the provision of strategic insights. 

Furthermore, the role encompasses leading the launch of new products and brands within assigned Travel Retail geographies, managing the process from concept development to sales execution. Collaboration will be essential with various departments, including HQ Brand Groups, GTR Consumer and Trade Marketing, R&D, Global Supply Chain, and market operations. Ensuring accurate SKU maintenance within forecasting systems will also be a critical aspect of the role. 


Position:

The Portfolio & Strategy RRP Manager GTR will:

Be responsible for driving RRP launches across GTR markets by leveraging global strategies, past market learnings, and consumer insights. Translate GTR goals into consumer-centric new product and brand launches, focusing on portfolio optimization. Collaborate with stakeholders (Domestic Markets, TR Sales, Marketing, SI) to analyze trends, identify opportunities, and define white spots. Lead New Product Development processes from ideation to execution, ensuring alignment with global strategy, domestic trends, and nationality segmentation. Work in close collaboration with the respective Travel Retail M&S Operations and Marketing Activation groups as well as managers of Brand Equity, Finance Team and Strategic Insights in order to ensure alignment and integration of activities. Continue to use and improve the "Execution Excellence" Procedures already in place. Manage the development of RRP product and brand portfolio, pricing, trade, and distribution strategies for assigned brands based on HQ Brand Group guidelines, best practices and market dynamics in order to maximize portfolio/brand performance and ROI. Support assortment and pricing analysis for the assigned geographies and brands. Monitor performance and make the necessary portfolio corrective actions where required. Develop and coordinate new product and brand/brand style launch plans with Brand Groups, Brand Equity, R&D, and GSC to ensure on-time execution. Oversee packaging and product development with R&D and NPD GBS, and manage OTC budgeting and tracking. Handle BAP/MEMO processes and product/packaging development for assigned brands and geographies. Maintain accurate SKU data in GTR forecasting systems to ensure portfolio integrity. Act as GTR PLM expert for RRP projects, ensuring smooth NPD processes and coordinating all PLM-related activities. Support tracking and monitoring of NTM/FG write-offs. Contribute to the implementation of RRP brand portfolio, consumer and trade strategy for the A&SP. Assist in coordinating the development of M&S's annual and strategic plan with different M&S Groups in the assigned TR geographies to contribute to the final GTR A&SP. Work closely with JTI HQ relevant Brand Groups in order to ensure full alignment between GTR Brand Strategies and HQ BG Strategies. Work closely with GTR Corporate Affairs to monitor and analyze regulatory trends for the assigned Travel Retail geographies and develop strategies & contingencies that help the company to be prepared and to adapt to local regulatory changes.

Requirements:

University degree required, preferably in Marketing; MBA or equivalent educational background is a plus 5 years of relevant experience in FMCG marketing Global and regional (in-market) experience preferred; cross-cultural exposure is desirable Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills; additional language(s) a plus Experience in the RRP category will be a strong advantage Experience in communicating strategic direction, identifying and driving new initiatives, and serving as the main coordination point between HQ functions and other teams Strong project coordination, verbal and written communication, collaboration, and leadership skills to drive initiatives Effective influencing abilities and solid understanding of JTI policies and procedures Expertise in Brand & Portfolio Management, including new product launches/development, PLM process, strategic insights, financial analysis, and pricing scenarios Strong computer skills: proficient in MS Office; SAP knowledge is a plus
