Portfolio Manager - Security

Introduction

Are you an expert in security technology with a passion for innovative solutions and strategic impact? Do you want to translate market needs into a top-of-the-line security portfolio and advise clients at a high level? Then join us as our new Portfolio Manager Security!

About the Role

As a Portfolio Manager Security, you play a key role in aligning our strategy with sales, advising clients and colleagues on our advanced security portfolio, including access control, CCTV, incident management systems, and cloud-based solutions. You will work in a growing team of 12 (13 including you) portfolio, product, and sales consultants under the leadership of Ron Nielen, Head of Portfolio Management & Marketing. You collaborate closely with experts such as Johan de Wit (International Portfolio Manager Security), Arthur van Eunen (Product Manager), and Ruud van Vught (Account Manager Security). A typical day involves client visits (1-2 times per week), creating high-level designs, and organizing internal training sessions. The challenge? Translating market needs into innovative solutions, such as cybersecurity and NIS 2 compliance, and driving growth in our Security business. The team is characterized by collaboration, technical expertise, and a passion for IT and security.

Your Responsibilities

Collaborate with account managers to advise clients and develop high-level designs for proposals and tenders. Conduct market and target group analyses and develop targeted marketing activities. Create strategic marketing plans and pragmatically translate them into actions that contribute to revenue. Maintain and share technical and engineering knowledge about the security portfolio, including cloud and cybersecurity solutions, through internal training. Select third-party products for our portfolio and maintain close contacts with our headquarters in Switzerland.

What Do You Bring?

You stand your ground, communicate persuasively, and inspire with your knowledge of security technology.

You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., security technology, electrical engineering, or IT). You have at least 5 years of experience in security technology, with demonstrable knowledge of cybersecurity and an affinity for cloud solutions. You have experience advising clients, creating system designs, and supporting sales processes. You speak and write fluent Dutch and English (English-speaking candidates are also welcome). You have a driver’s license B; a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) and screening by government or defense authorities is a plus.

Even if you don’t meet all the requirements, we look forward to receiving your application.

What Do We Offer?

You will join a dynamic and inclusive work environment where innovation and collaboration are central.

A competitive salary based on your knowledge and experience. Benefits Budget of 22.63%. A lease car. Hybrid working: at our office in The Hague, at client locations, and from home. Flexible working hours and locations, with a part-time contract (minimum 32 hours) possible. Opportunities to quickly connect with colleagues through YoungSiemens and a buddy program. Continuous development through an extensive training and education program.
