Title: Loan Portfolio Manager
Comp: $70k-$90k
Schedule: HYBRID after 90 days
We're partnering with a client who is looking for a Loan Portfolio Manager in Baltimore, Maryland. In this role, you will oversee the underwriting and monitoring of loans, ensuring compliance with credit policies and regulatory standards. Your contributions will help maintain the integrity of the loan portfolio while fostering strong client relationships and supporting business development initiatives.

Responsibilities:
• Facilitate the preparation and review of loan summaries and credit memos for new loan requests and renewals, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Monitor maturing loans and coordinate extension requests, conducting credit analyses to support timely decisions.
• Manage annual term loan reviews, collaborating with senior analysts and department managers for comprehensive assessments.
• Maintain organized loan files, including financial statements, memos, and relevant documentation for efficient reviews.
• Respond to internal audits and loan reviews, addressing compliance matters and regulatory requirements as needed.
• Help with Criticized Asset Reports and ensuring accurate risk ratings for loans.
• Oversee covenant compliance by securing approvals for waivers or issuing default letters when necessary.
• Review third-party reports such as appraisals and environmental assessments to support loan evaluations.
• Support the Loan Administrator in handling past-due loans.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• At least five years of experience in credit analysis, commercial lending, or a related banking role.
• Completed training on business financial spreads.
• Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders.
• Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service and maintain client relationships.
• Familiarity with banking policies and regulations, and risk assessment practices.
• Experience with covenant compliance and appraisal reviews.
