**Job Description**
BAE Systems Advanced Mission Solutions (AMS) Product Line Area is seeking an experienced, hands-on, and self-motivated Portfolio Engineering Lead (PEL) for the Data & Analytics Solutions portfolio of programs and products.
The Data & Analytics Solutions (DAS) group delivers cutting-edge big data content management, data-driven analytics, and multiple security domain software platforms that enable mission-critical decision-making for our Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of War (DOW) customers. The DAS PEL serves as the engineering leader for the portfolio of DAS programs and products, responsible for engineering program execution, new business growth, product leverage, product evolution, and continuous improvement.
The role provides engineering leadership across all lifecycle phasesconception, design, development, delivery, and supportensuring that core engineering processes, design reviews, and technical bid reviews (TBRs) are properly tailored, deployed, and executed within the portfolio. The DAS PEL functionally leads teams of Program Engineering Managers (PEMs), reports to the AMS Product Line Engineering Lead (PLEL), and collaborates closely with the DAS Business Project and Portfolio Director and the DAS area Project Chief Engineer.
**Specific Job Responsibilities** :
+ Ensure DAS solutions and product architectures are sound, appropriate, affordable, producible, testable, and consistent with customer needs and the Product Area strategy and maintain the product baseline throughout the contract
+ Provide leadership engagement and communications with customer-facing activities and within the Product Area
+ Engage in all programs-area new-business activities to create and maintain appropriate technical baselines.
+ Maintain an operational and delivery mindset, working actively alongside the team when complex execution issues arise.
+ Roll up sleeves and jump in when execution issues arise.
+ Collaborate with the AMS Technical Director (TD) and DAS Portfolio Chief Engineer to facilitate both BAE internal and external technology insertion and transitions.
+ Provide overview briefs and support customer-facing activities.
+ Prioritize Engineering resources to support the Product Area. Work with PEMs and Engineering Functional Section Leads to forecast and identify staffing.
+ Supports Product Line Engineering Lead (PLEL) in hiring, developing, and growing future PEMs, PELs, and CEs for the business Develop PEM pipeline plans, succession strategies for senior PEMs, and a formal mentor approach. Partner with Section Leads to mentor and grow domain expertise, identify critical skill gaps, and develop workforce plans.
+ Support program IDR chairs, coordinate IDR/TBR activities for proposals, and ensure proper documentation.
+ Provide Section-Lead responsibilities and functional leadership for all program-area PEMs/SMEs ensuring labor, security, and policy compliance.
+ Apply appropriate engineering processes (AS9145, DFM, DTC, DTUPC) to ensure project success and predictability.
+ Deliver executable, competitive engineering proposals and monitor performance metrics, initiating corrective actions as required.
+ Establish/review product and project strategies, roadmaps, bids, and plans; partner with the Product line Engineering Lead (PLEL) and Business Area Engineering Director (BAED) for independent technical assessments.
**Position Expectations** :
+ DASPEL is a key engineering leader for classified work and will maintain a regular on-site presence.
+ Travel to BAE Systems and Customer sites to connect with product customers, engineers, support classified projects, and attend leadership-team strategy sessions.
Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely.

**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Must hold a Top Secret security clearance with ability to obtain a TS/SCI in the near future.
+ Bachelor s degree with a minimum of 15years of technical leadership experience and domain knowledge in data content management, data analytics, AI/ML, and related technologies.
+ Proven ability to share and transfer technology across organizational boundaries to benefit customers and the business.
+ Experience leading DOW or Intelligence Community software development programs and preparing proposals.
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Eligibility for Top-Secret/SCI clearance (if not already held).
+ Strong vision setting ability with a track record of implementing actionable plans.
+ Experience shaping opportunities, program planning, and cost account management.
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $173023 - $294137

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
