Porter – 3rd Shift

 

We are looking for a Porter to join our Bakersfield, CA team. In this role, you'll work to spearhead diagnostics and maintain machinery to ensure safety and productivity in the warehouse. In our fast-paced, fun, team-oriented environment, your ability to lead projects and provide departmental training to your peers will make you an instrumental part of the team.

 

Compensation and Hours: 

Potential to earn overtime  Position will be 3rd shift from 10:30pm- 6:00am (MON-FRI)

 

What will you be doing? 

Contribute to the operational efficiency to improve business process, increase proficiency and increase efficiency through cleanliness maintenance of warehouse facility. Assures the cleanliness and maintenance standard of DC Floor Work Areas and Building Exterior. Operate forklift floor scrubber equipment Work and communicate with Maintenance to schedule pick up for trash, cardboard and collection of broken pallets Separate recyclable materials such as plastic, cardboard, wood and metals Keep the warehouse area organized, gather and empty trash, and clean building floor to keep the production and adjacent areas clean  and maintenance of outside surrounding facility premises including, but not limited to parking lot, front and rear entrance Assist with janitorial duties, including maintenance of all trash containers and sweeping and mopping of premises

Distribution Center experience maintenance - 1 year Organized and capable of working on various tasks concurrently.  Able to work in a team environment, and also autonomously to perform individual tasks. Ability to lift up to 50lbs. with or without an accommodation
