The New Porgera Limited now has a vacancy for Specialist – ED Trainer – High Risk /Compliance.

 

About the Role: 

The Specialist – ED Trainer – High Risk /Compliance is responsible for delivering training and maintain training matrix for Compliance and Safety onsite. The role provides compliance support to maintain verification of competency for employees working and operating equipment  Onsite, as well as providing technical support in reviewing and updating training materials for High-Risk Work.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Development of training materials and lesson plansDeliver accredited trainingDeliver Safety compliance trainingConduct Verification of Competence (VOC) for High-Risk Work Assist with training coordination and manage stakeholder relationships within other DepartmentsMaintain a high level of health and safety awareness, complying with the NPL Occupational Health & Safety Policies and procedures

 

 The ideal Candidate must have:

Qualifications in Cert IV TAEIdeally Hold-Qualifications in Dogging, Scaffolding, W@H, CSE, Forklift, EWP, ITC Loader, Skid SteerMust be computer literate and proficient in MS Office applications.Able to work independently, time managementMust have had more than 5 years in a training role in mining/construction industryMust have Valid class 3 (PNG) driver’s licence

 

Mobilization Requirement 

This is a PNG National Staff position, a site based role on a Fly in Fly out arrangement with rotation of 21 days on and 14 days off. Must successfully pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening. (This will be arranged only for successful candidates who progress after the interview stage) and have an up-to-date Police Clearance Certificate (acquired within the last 6 months).
