In this role, you will:

Accurately and diligently process invoice data into SAP accounts payable system

Be able to reconcile supplier statements and communicate with suppliers to resolve invoice issues

Communicate with other NPL departments to identify and rectify invoices on holds.

Work closely with the NPL Purchase and Supplies Team to resolve invoice holds

Payment of vendor invoices in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with Barrick policies and procedures. 

Through the use of procedures to get the job done, ensure that improvements to the procedures are captured and changes are made to controlled documents by the custodian

Maintain a high level of health and safety awareness and comply with the PJV Occupational Health & Safety Policy and all health and safety rules and procedures

 

About You

To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience.

A minimum of a Diploma in Accounting or Business Studies

Good computer skills with the ability to use integrated management systems, word processing and presentation and spread sheet applications 

Good English, both Spoken and written

Ability to communicate effectively across all levels

Ability to work as part of a team and foster team building 

Ability to work unsupervised and work with attention to detail

The Ability to learn and asks for help where necessary and pass on/share knowledge

Sober work habits and Stable employment records with PJV if previously employed

Must be a quick learner

Mobilization Requirement 

All Applicants must have an up-to-date Police Clearance Certificate, acquired within the last 6 monthsAbility to successfully pass a pre- employment medical and drug and alcohol testBe a Local Porgeran (Cat 1a – SML, Cat 1b – LMP or Cat 2 – Other Porgera) Candidate available in the valley to start immediately The Roster Pattern is 10 days on and 4 days off on 10 hours basisFemales are encouraged to apply
