**Description:** The Pool Technician is responsible for the maintenance, cleanliness, and safe operation of all swimming pools, spas, and water features at Park Hyatt St. Kitts. This role ensures that water quality, filtration systems, and poolside facilities meet Hyatt’s standards of safety, hygiene, and guest satisfaction. **Responsibilities** + Inspect, clean, and maintain hotel pools, spas, and water features daily. + Test and balance water chemistry (chlorine, pH, alkalinity, etc.) to ensure safe swimming conditions. + Operate and maintain pool filtration, circulation, and heating systems. + Perform routine cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, skimming, brushing, and tile maintenance. + Monitor poolside areas, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for guest use. + Troubleshoot and repair pool equipment, pumps, and plumbing as needed. + Maintain accurate records of water testing, chemical usage, and maintenance activities. + Report safety hazards or equipment malfunctions promptly to Engineering. + Support sustainability initiatives by ensuring efficient use of water and chemicals. **Qualifications:** **Qualifications** + High school diploma or equivalent. + Previous experience as a pool technician or in pool maintenance preferred. + Knowledge of water chemistry, pool systems, and safety standards. + Ability to operate pool maintenance equipment and tools. + Strong attention to detail and commitment to guest safety. + Physical ability to perform maintenance tasks in outdoor conditions. + Team‑oriented with good communication skills. **Preferred Skills** + Certification in pool operations or water treatment. + Experience in resort or hospitality pool maintenance. + Knowledge of sustainable pool care practices. **Primary Location:** Caribbean Islands-Saint Kitts **Organization:** Park Hyatt St. Kitts **Pay Basis:** Hourly **Job Level:** Full-time **Job:** Engineering/Facility Maintenance **Req ID:** SAI002020 Hyatt is an equal employment opportunity and affirmative action employer.
