Pool and Beach Maintenance Engineer | Playa Largo Resort & Spa
Perform daily maintenance, cleaning, and inspections of water cabanas, pools, docks, beach areas, and buoys to ensure top condition and safety. Monitor and maintain proper water levels, pressure systems, and structural conditions of water cabanas. Complete and document daily safety and maintenance checklists, reporting any concerns or irregularities to leadership promptly. Ensure all beach and recreational areas are clean, well-organized, and guest-ready each morning. Respond to and assist with guest requests in a courteous and timely manner. Prepare all waterfront and pool areas for inclement weather by following hurricane and storm safety procedures, including securing equipment and completing the required checklists. Handle chemicals safely and in accordance with environmental and health standards. Monitor weather changes and promptly communicate concerns or necessary adjustments to leadership. Assist in special projects and other tasks related to waterfront operations as needed. Responsibilities

The Pool and Beach Maintenance Engineer is responsible for maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and overall presentation of all poolside, beachfront, and recreational water areas. This role ensures that all water cabanas, docks, and beach facilities are fully operational, aesthetically pleasing, and aligned with safety standards. The ideal candidate takes pride in delivering a flawless guest experience and is proactive in upkeep and communication regarding environmental changes and facility needs.

Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience in facilities maintenance, pool operations, or beach/recreation services preferred. Basic understanding of pool chemicals and water pressure systems is a plus. Strong attention to detail, safety, and cleanliness. Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with guests and team members. Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, walk on sand, and enter ocean water regularly. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
