Job Description:

This role will play critical role such as providing political risk analysis that includes analyzing political developments, government policies, and regulatory changes that could affect the business and bp operations in country.

This role also coordinates preparation for briefing materials including country brief for senior executives, helping to support major advocacy campaign, and attending and reporting on meaningful events in the nation's capital. The position will also work closely with govrel manager and external relations advisor to help drive bp’s advocacy efforts.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Policy Analysis: Evaluating the impact of national and international energy policies, climate agreements, and sustainability initiatives on the industry.

Geopolitical Monitoring: Tracking energy security, supply and demand trends, and the geopolitical implications of major global events.

Stakeholder Engagement: Interacting with various stakeholders, including governments, industry associations, and civil society, to understand political dynamics and lobby for interests.

Strategic Advice: Providing companies and governments with intelligence and insights to inform strategic decision-making, manage risks, and develop effective government relations strategies.

Provide coverage of hearings in national parliament/DPR and other policy-related developments in Jakarta and conduct research to support bp's legislative and advocacy agenda.

Produce country brief, country update or news alert on issues relevant to bp businesses, which includes providing updates on key policy developments and government affairs.

Deliver wide-ranging support to Government Engagement and Communications teams Actively engage with key trade associations to further build our strategic partnership

Provide updates and advice -- including mitigation strategy -- to internal leadership on regulatory dynamics, at national and regional (Papua) levels, that may pose a risk to our business operation.

CANDIDATE'S QUALIFICATIONS :

a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science/Communications or International Relations , a Master degree in international relations/communications or political science is an advantage

Early career professional in corporate and government affairs (5 to 8 years work experience) with excellent writing and analytical skills

Works efficiently in both office and virtual environments with standard business hours

Able to synthesize information and communicate effectively to a variety of audiences (including international audience)
