The Center of Policy Management (CPM) is responsible for the oversight, management, and daily operation of the MediaLab application. The MediaLab application is critical for the regulatory compliance of CLIA laboratories. The application includes Document Control, Inspection Proof (regulatory checklists and standards), Compass (competency assessment), and Continuing Education and Training. This position assists in the oversight of standardization, harmonization and regulatory compliance of PLM policies, procedures and other documents enterprise wide.
A caregiver in this position works remotely, 8:00am—4:30pm.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Conduct system maintenance, i.e. add and delete users, provide customer service to users to resolve access and connectivity issues, etc.
Manage 3300 active users in Document Control and 3297 users in Compass
Assist in triaging and resolving 1923 service requests in 2024
Train users and authors as needed. 132 users were trained in 2024
Coordinate and monitor the PLM Policy and Procedure process from development to implementation as directed by the PLM Policy Manager. 35,640 documents managed in Document Control.
Attend and schedule policy meetings.
Assist in policy development in collaboration with content experts.
Assist in the oversight of the PLM Policy and Procedure process from development to implementation.
Edit and write policies and procedures as directed.
Monitor task assignments and ensure completion by agreed upon timelines.
Assist in the development of communication plans for implementing new policies and procedures in collaboration with policy owners to include training of employees and consistency across the enterprise.
Manage the approval process of policies by appropriate governing board Enterprise wide.
Control content of all policies and procedures as gatekeeper for Document Control System
Build new and edit existing competency assessments and initial training activities in Compass.
Build compliance and training courses in the Continuing Education application of MediaLab.
Create Inspection Proof events and update checklists to facilitate inspection readiness.
Ensure Enterprise documents are approved by the correct laboratory directors and governing bodies.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor's Degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science OR medical technology from a four-year college or university
3 years of experience as a Medical Technologist
Proven ability to take ownership of projects and lead them through to successful completion
Capable of working independently while maintaining accountability and delivering high-quality outcomes
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
